Beyond the Guild

Our guild members are very eclectic and often like to share news about upcoming events. Here are some of the happenings outside of our guild.

The Eileen J. Loring Polymer Clay Guild meets at The Bead Lounge in Longmont (420 Main St.). Please park and enter through the rear door of the store. The charge is $5 per person or $30 for yearly dues. Please contact Tracy Rosen, Membership Chair, at polyclay13@gmail.com for more information.

Ann Kruglak writes the following to guild members:

I am always interested in junk clay you want to get rid of either as a donation to my service project (I donate 100% of all my polymer art proceeds to rainforest reservation), or sell to me at a low price. Please look for me at guild meetings

Lucille A Fischetta, treasurer of the Mile High guild, would like everyone to know
about her web page. All of her designs are original and handcrafted, and are a variety of jewelry, felted hats, beaded scarves and polymer clay creations.  It is all under the business name of LAFdesigns.net.

From the Eileen J. Loring Polymer Clay Guild:

Happy New Year! This is your reminder about our next meeting.  We'll be discussing facilities, dues, officer positions and all that fun stuff this month. Please bring along anything you're working on and / or requests for processes you'd like to learn together, publications you'd like to share... (I've been having tons of fun with Bette's raku process.  It's a great surface treatment for icon tiles - those of you who attended the Laurie Mika workshop in October.) I'm going to bring along two pairs of butterfly wing earrings created by my very dear friend Barb Harper (no relation).  She donated them as a fund raiser for our group.  If you're interested in taking part in a drawing for these, bring along a couple of extra dollars. I'll bring my collection of polymer clay pieces that I've gotten from other artists through the years.  Holding this stuff in your hands is very different from looking at it online!  Maybe it will inspire you to try something different.
